California Lottery California Lottery officials are asking the public to remember that if it sounds to good to be true, it most likely is.
"The Lottery will not tolerate those who deceive our players and attack the integrity of Lottery games," said Joan Borucki, the Director of the California State Lottery. "We urge our players to educate themselves about potential scams by visiting our web-site."

Lottery officials say that you will never have to pay a processing fee to win a legitament prize and no regulated lottery issues prizes to players that have not purchased tickets.
The California Lottery returns more than 95 percent of every dollar taken in back to the community by issuing prizes, contributing to education and through retailer commissions. The Lottery contributed over $20 billion to California schools since id began in 1985.
