$43 Million The Powerball Lottery once again takes its turn tonight on the National stage. The jackpot for tonights drawing is $43 million, which is still a long ways away from the Mega Millions jackpot for this weekend.

Both the multi-state lotteries have fizzled out in recent months when approaching the $100 million mark. For Powerball, it will take several more draws before the grand prize gets anywhere near that figure.

The Texas lottery also has a high jackpot, although it is nowhere near either of the multi-state jackpots. Lotto Texas will pay a lucky winner $28 million if they match the correct numbers in tonight's draw.
