After a failure Friday night to find a winner who matched all five numbers and the Mega Ball, the giant lottery rolled over to an $81 million jackpot for Tuesday's drawing. Friday night's prize, $70 million, went unclaimed to push the progressive prize higher.

Friday's numbers were 8, 23, 29, 30, and 53. The Mega Ball was 7.

Five players did win the second prize, which amounted to $250,000. Twenty-six contestants finished as lucky third place winners, receiving $10,000.

Mega Millions, played in twelve states, has done so well reaching gargantuan grand prizes that Powerball, which is played in 29 states, has recruited Florida to join its members and looks to change the rules a little to drive prizes above any other lottery in the country.
