Big Lottery Weekend The weekend is once again upon us and that means it is time to give away some free money. At least that is the motto for some of the countries biggest lotteries, who will be trying to give away major jackpots over the weekend.

The Mega Millions multi-state lottery leads the way as it usually does. The jackpot has quickly risen to $70 million since the last draw on Tuesday. The next drawing will be on Friday night.

Powerball, the other multi-state lottery in the United States
has also began to accumulate millions of dollars. The jackpot for Saturday is $35 million, half of what Mega Millions is offering for their grand prize.

Residents where individual state lotteries are offered could also come up big this weekend. Texas has surpassed Florida in having the largest single state jackpot in the nation. The jackpot currently stands at $26 million.

Florida will have their jackpot reset again for Saturday night after a lucky winner took home the top prize in Wednesday's drawing.
