A $20 million lawsuit that was filed against the Indiana Hoosier State Lottery has gotten class-action status. That means that anyone who lost money on the fraudulent tickets may now join the lawsuit.

The lawsuit originated from two men, Jeff Frazier and Jeff Koehlinger. They claimed that they lost $40,000 and $2,400 in the scratch off lottery game Cash Blast. They filed the lawsuit after finding out that half of the tickets that were printed for that game were defective.

The lottery eventually figured out the problem
and reprinted the half of the tickets that were defective. They did not, however, delete the prizes from the defective tickets upon listing the total prizes remaining.

While they are not admitting guilt in the lawsuit, the lottery has claimed that they will not respond to questions while the lawsuit is pending. The ruling to give the lawsuit class-action status in one that will help the case.

Every person who bought a Cash Blast ticket during the period from May18th, 2005 to July 6th, 2006 will now have the opportunity to seek damages in the case.
