Ohio Lottery Has Over 1,000 Businesses Looking To Offer New Keno Game

New Keno Game Coming The Ohio Lottery is less than a month away from unveiling their new keno game, and they still do not know exactly where the game will be sold. Over 1,000 businesses have applied for a chance to sell the game.

The new keno game was supposed to be already on sale, but delays have caused the start date to back up for nearly a month. Still, the Ohio lottery believes they will be able to meet their goal of $73 million in revenue before next July.

The state of Ohio is experiencing the same economic hardships that other states are feeling. They came up with the new keno game as a way to help a $733 million budget crisis for next year.

The state currently has seven racetracks and one off-track betting parlor. All eight of the establishments have applied for licenses to sell the keno game. In addition to those applications, there are over 1,000 others who have also applied.

The state has not made a final decision on who will be receiving the licenses. It is almost guaranteed that the racetracks will get licenses. After that, it is unknown who else will gain the right to offer the game.
