Florida Lottery The state of Florida rejected the Powerball Lottery ten years ago when Jeb Bush was the Governor of the state. He claimed it would hurt sales of their own lottery games.
Now, a decade later, not only is the Powerball Lottery going to be available in the Sunshine State, but it will be the new home of the lottery.
The state of Florida announced on Thursday that the state would begin to offer the Powerball Lottery in January. They also announced that the lottery drawing would be held in the state.

The state has been expanding its current lottery options as of late. A short time ago they went to two draws a day for their Pick 3 and Pick 4 games. They now have a midday draw and an evening draw.
In addition to that, the lottery also unveiled a new $30 scratch off ticket earlier this year.
