Wednesday Night's Powerball Lottery Jackpot Is Up To $59 Million

$59 Million Jackpot The jackpot in the Powerball lottery, America's favorite lottery game, is growing. Because no one correctly matched all six numbers in Saturday's drawing the jackpot will grow to an estimated $59 million to a single winner.
Although the grand prize was not awarded Saturday evening, 2 lucky tickets won 2nd prizes by matching five numbers without the Power Ball and will take home $200,000 in cash. These winners purchased their tickets in Arizona and Missouri.
Two more winners, one in Colorado, and one in Tennessee also matched all 5 numbers without the Power Ball, but added the Power Play option and won $400,000 each. In addition, 462,112 tickets across the nation won a total of $4,054,666 in prizes.

Saturday night results were; 1, 3, 14, 38, 48 and the Powerball was 2. The Power Play multiplier was 2.
Third prizes won for Saturday evening's drawing included twenty-one tickets that matched 4 white numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. An additional eight tickets at this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied winnings 2 times to $20,000 cash.
Over 91K winning Powerball tickets multiplied their prizes by 2 Saturday. Players were able to do that by purchasing the Power Play option for one dollar. With Power Play you multiply your Powerball winnings from 2 to 5 times, except for the jackpot. At the beginning of each drawing a wheel is spun to select that night's multiplier.
