$42 Million Jackpot
$42 Million Jackpot Tuesday night's Mega Millions Lottery jackpot is could now be worth up to $42 million for a single winner. With no grand prize winner recorded from Friday night, the jackpot is on the rise.

Friday's results were; 7, 15, 27, 28, 31 and the Mega Ball number 35.

Even with no one winning the jackpot, their still were some nice prizes won on Friday. Seven players matched five numbers without the Mega Ball number and took home $250,000 each. Thirty more winners matched four numbers with the Mega Ball number and won $10,000.

With a $42 million jackpot, Lottery officials estimate that their would be a cash out option for a single winner of over
$25 million, after taxes a winner could take in about $16 million in cash.

"$16 mil, that sure would be nice," says Mike Winston of Boston, Massachusetts. "It sure would be great to have to take a ride over to Braintree on Wednesday morning.

Braintree, MA is of course the home of the Massachusetts State Lottery's headquarters.

Interestingly enough, the country's other multi-state lottery game, Powerball, also has a jackpot on the line of $42 million for Wednesday's drawing.
 
Mega Millions drawing are held every Tuesday and Friday nights. Powerball drawing are held on every Wednesday and Saturday nights.
