$23 Million Jackpot The multi-state Mega Millions Lottery Jackpot for Tuesday night's drawing is up to $23 million. No winner has been recorded for the past two drawings and the jackpot is on the rise.

According to lottery officials, Michigan residents Chris Crane and his wife Tina were the winners of the Oct. 3 Mega Millions jackpot, worth $42 million.

The couple told reporters that they feel blessed by their good fortune. They opted for the 26-year annuity and received their first installment of $1.1 million, after taxes.

While 
the current state of the nations economy might suggest the annuity option, rather than the lump sum option is a smarter chose. Crane said the current state of the marketwas not the driving motivation for his decision.

"The choice was simply that it is easy to control," he said. "I can make a lot of plans on how to spend that money."

That's a decision we would all like to have to make.

Tuesday night's drawing will go off at 11PM and will be worth an estimated $23 million. That translates to a cash out option of a little over $14 million.
